The last 2 months has been completely crazy, so I have a lot to catch up on. After 2 months of Drew travelling every week and being home on the weekends, we were finally able to all move down to our new home in Albuquerque. We were not able to sell our home in Nibley, but we were lucky to find a family to rent our home, and we found a nice little house to rent here in ABQ. I have to admit, I do miss my home in Nibley. I miss my large kitchen, my large yard for the kids to play in, and especially miss the great friends we have there. The neighborhood here is nice, but completely different than what we got spoiled with in Nibley. I miss all the neighborhood kids running around together. I don't ever see neighbor kids running around here, and I am not comfortable letting my kids run the streets the way they could in our old neighborhood. They have made friends with the little girl next door though, so that has been good. The kids like their new school and their teachers, and they seem to be adjusting well to that. They have all-day kindergarten here, so that means they are both gone from 8:20 to about 4:00, and Wednesdays are their short days and get out at 12:15. Luckily the bus stop is just a couple houses down, so I am able to just send them out the door in the morning. Drew still has to travel a bit for work and has been gone a lot since we have been here, but it should slow down for him after Christmas time. We were able to travel home to St. George for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time with our family there, and the kids did great on the long drive. It took about 11-12 hours including stops. The kids had a great time with their cousins, and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's home. (Thanks Gina!!) Drew and I got new callings in our ward here. Miracle of miracles, Drew was NOT called as any kind of clerk or secretary to the bishopric. He was called to teach the 12 and 13 year olds in Sunday School. I will be teaching the Valiant 8 class, which will be Ethan's class at the beginning of the year. So we are looking forward to our new callings. Here are some pictures taken over the last couple months.

Goodbye kitchen. I really miss you.

Goodbye Addy and Gracie. We miss your cute faces around here.

We miss you too, Kati!

The kids thought we were driving to New Mexico for the move, but we surprised them and stopped at the airport and flew down. Here they are waiting to board the plane. They loved it!

We had family pictures done while in SG. It was really cold out that morning, and the boys had had enough by the time we finished.

Here's some of the kids playing in the leaves during pictures.

Londyn's blessing

We had Londyn blessed on October 10th. It was a great day spent with family and Drew gave her a wonderful blessing. I am so grateful to have such a happy, healthy baby. She has been such a great blessing in our lives. She is truly a little piece of heaven, a gift from our Heavenly Father. Thank you to all who came to support us on this special day, and to those who weren't able to make it but were thinking of her (you know who you are).

Big 5 Year Old

With all the craziness of having a new baby and the kids starting school, I just realized I haven't posted anything about Blake's birthday. Blake turned 5 years old on August 13. I attempted to make him a special breakfast of pancakes for his special day, but it kind of ended in disaster when Blake decided to help stir the batter and dropped the bowl of batter on the floor, shattering my bowl in the process. After we all shed our tears, we decided to go to McDonalds for breakfast. So he got his pancake breakfast after all.

He had been begging us for weeks to go bowling, so we finally went in celebration of his birthday. It was a fun time, and Blake actually won the game with a score of 130. We won't mention what our other scores were. I'll just say that bowling when you are 9 months pregnant is no easy feat. It's hard to believe that he is already 5 years old and that he is starting school this year. Wow, time does fly. We love you Blake.

She's Here

Our sweet little girl, Londyn, came into this world on Sunday, August 22, 2010. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. We were a little surprised to see that she had any hair at all, let alone darker hair. She is a very good natured baby, and has us all wrapped around her little finger. We feel so blessed to have her in our family!!
Right before we left for the hospital. (In between contractions)

She was born at 1:24 p.m.

She hated her first bath, but loved getting her hair washed and rinsed in the warm water.

The proud papa.

Ethan is happy to be the biggest brother.

Blake, the big brother, loves her to death. He can't stop kissing her and calls her Bubba.

Bittersweet News

I'm sure a lot of you have already heard the news, but we are moving to Albuquerque. Yes, I know, it seems crazy, but it is true. Drew got a new position with Progressive as a Sales Manager. We are very excited about it, but with that excitement also comes A LOT of stress and fear of the unknown. Not to mention the fact that it is happening at the same time as having a new baby soon. My doctor agreed to induce me a week early, so the plan is to go in on the 23rd and have our baby girl. Drew will officially start his new job on Sept. 6, and will be travelling home on weekends until we can get the house here sold, so we are praying for a quick sell. (Feel free to spread the news to anybody you know who is looking to buy in the Nibley area!!) We will definitely miss all our great neighbors and friends that we have made here. It will be hard to leave such a great place, but we know that we are doing the right thing and that, though it may not be easy, things will work out for us.

Baby Shower

My Sisters threw me a baby shower a few weeks ago. Here are a few pics of our fun night...

This is the fun diaper cake that my sisters put together. The middle of each layer is filled with diapers, and wrapped around with receiving blanket, then decorated with hair bands and bows. It was adorable. Underneath the cake is the cutest car seat canopy ever that my sister sewed. She did a great job. Thanks Haley!!

These were some of the refreshments that we had. They turned out really cute.

One of the cute blankets that my mom made.

Gracie, Carolee, Grandma, Cole, Maren, and Tayler

And I could resist posting a picture of this cute little guy, Wyatt.

Thanks to everybody that came and especially to my sisters Haley, Becca, and Gina for all you did to make it happen.

Playing catch up

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Here are a few of the highlights of the past couple of months. First, I celebrated the big 3-0 this year! Yes, I know, I am getting old.

Drew worked his tail off to finish a couple rooms in the basement. It is finally finished. Hooray!! We now have a family/tv room and another bedroom, which is being used as an office. This is a picture of Drew after a night of sanding the drywall. And of course, Blake, Dad's little sidekick was almost always by his side wanting to help.

We met Drew's family down in Ogden to celebrate his mom's birthday. We had lunch at a restaurant called Bee's. Then we went over to the Hill Aerospace museum. It was a cold day, but we had fun looking at all the planes.

Drew's birthday-June 23. I did something a little different this year for his cake. He is a German chocolate cake fan, so I usually make that, but this year I tried a recipe I found recently for a coconut tres leches cake. It was so yummy!!

Drew got a "One Million Dollar Bill" for his birthday from his mom.

Other highlights:
Ethan got to go to his first Cub Scout Day Camp. Drew went along with him, and they had a lot of fun. They had all sorts of stuff to do such as a BMX bike course, archery, BB gun shooting, a zipline (Ethan did not go on it, but Drew was able to), an obstacle course, a craft, etc. They had a great day together and with the other cub scouts in our ward.
I also got to go to the same Day Camp with the Activity Days girls in our ward. The girls had a ton of fun, and it was a fun day. I wanted to do the zipline so bad, but I knew there was no way they would have let an 8-month-pregnant woman do that.
The boys took swimming lessons again this year. It was only a week this year because the lady that teaches them is going back to school and it was the only time she had to do it. They did really well. I was very surprised to see both of them get right into the water without hesitating on the first day.
We are about 9 weeks away from having our baby girl. I am getting very excited/anxious/nervous. It will be very nice to not be pregnant, but at the same time I want her to stay in there longer because I just don't know how I am going to juggle 3 children and stay sane. But really, I am excited to have a baby again. It will be a whole new adventure for us all.
