Christmas 2009 at the Davis home was wonderful. This was the first year that I think Blake really understood what Santa Claus was all about. He knew exactly what he wanted when it came time to sit on his lap, Rocky the Robot Truck. Ethan was so funny this year. All he wanted from Santa Claus was a clock. Yes, a clock. When asked what kind of clock he said," a round one, with numbers, to hang on my wall." Now remember, he's 7 years old, and he wants a clock. I guess that's just the way Ethan is though. Don't worry, he did get "normal" kid's stuff too.
For Christmas Eve we decided to have pizza for dinner. Then we watched our "Joy to the World" video. It was nice to forget about the worldly part of Christmas and really focus on what Christmas is really about. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for the example he has set for all of us. I am so blessed to have the things I have, and I owe it all to my Savior. Our good friends and next door neighbor paid us a visit for a few minutes. Then we drove around town and looked at people's Christmas lights. The kids were very excited and sang "Santa Claus is coming to town" for most of the car ride.
Lucky for us, the kids slept until 8:00 on Christmas Day. It was a fun-filled day with presents galore. Grandma and Grandpa Davis came up that afternoon and we had a traditional ham and potatoes Christmas dinner. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas.

While we were in St. George the week before Christmas, we had all the grandkids act out the nativity. Ethan and Gracie played Joseph and Mary. Averee was baby Jesus. The 3 wisemen were played by Blake, Carolee, and Tayler. Maren was a shepard. I think Brynn was supposed to be a sheep, but she was taking a nap at the time. Cole was the angel.
Grandpa Romberger read the Christmas story from the New Testament. And of course there's Grandma Romberger ready to snap some pictures.
Decorating the Christmas tree. It got rearranged quite frequently. Good thing I'm not obsessive about having the the "perfect" tree.
Blake picked out mom's gift all by himself this year. This is what he chose...lightbulbs.
Thanks Blakesters, it's just what I wanted!

Ethan got a scooter from Aunt Heather and Uncle Todd. Can't wait until the snow melts so it can get put to good use.

For New Year's Eve this year we went over to our next door neighbor's, the Curtises. They had some of their family staying with them too. We had pizza, played games, and ate way too much. We had a great time. The kids even stayed up and helped us ring in the new year. Sorry, no picture were taken.
